Use of Social Media for the Dissemination of Scientific Activity

It is increasingly relevant to disseminate the activity in social networks. We recommend:

• Keep our Linkedin profile updated and use it to disseminate our relevant publications and activity (participation in events, congresses, etc.), since it is the first channel through which our professional history is usually accessed.

Similarly, some trends are consolidating oriented to collect the impact of the publications not only originated by the citations of the articles. The monitoring of these indicators is known as Altmetrics. There are also several publications that show the increase in impact achieved when the use of social networks is increased.
