Use of Social Networks for the Dissemination of Scientific Activity
The dissemination of activity on social networks is becoming increasingly relevant. It is recommended to:
- Keep our profile on Linkedin updated and share our relevant publications and highlighted activities (participation in events, conferences, etc.), as this is the first channel through which people typically access our professional history.
Similarly, some trends aimed at collecting the impact of publications not solely originated from article citations are consolidating. The tracking of these indicators is known as Altmetrics. Additionally, there are several publications that demonstrate the increased impact achieved when the use of social networks is increased.
